    I just started playing guitar about a year ago. I haven't really practiced that much until about 3 months ago, but I can tell I'm improving slowly. Just started practicing Barre chords ths week. Man they are a killer. I am using guitarlesson.com to teach me the basics. I'm hoping I can stay interested enough to teach myself more after I get thru the lessons. I try to find songs on Songsterr that are easy enough for me to play right now. I get bored of doing the same thing everyday, but I know repitition is the key to improving. I will check out the website & look you up.

    I bought a used acoustic electric takemine jasmine from a custom luthier who was fixing guitars and selling them on eBay. I have been playing for two years.

    I also play the piano and sing, but I can't play barre chords yet. I can transpose a lot and am trying o learn finger picking. I'd like to get a classical, a dobro and a better acoustic/electric one day when I'm rich and famous.

    I'm learning to play American Pie. It's a killer!

    Yaaay! I wouldn't have thought that I'd join a weight losing network and find fellow guitar players. For the songs I play I almost exclusively use ultimateguitar.

    It's a good site, but should be used as a reference point only. It's filled with songs that have been incorrectly transcribed.
