Almonds. Sometimes greek yogurt. Sometimes greek yogurt with almonds mixed in0

I tend to go for higher protein and/or fat snacks. For example:
Peanut Butter
Cottage Cheese (often spread on Melba Toast Crackers)
Protein Shake made with Light Soy Milk
Yogurt with 2 teaspoons of mixed seeds.
Also:
Fruit (I love apples, bananas, oranges)
Bag of Mini Pretzels (The one I get is 95 calories for a decent amount)
Cereal bar (not hugely filling but satisfies my sweet tooth)
1 square dark chocolate (curbs my sweet tooth and feels very indulgent, and it's rare I'll crave another piece after that first one)
Hope this helps!0 -
Cottage cheese - usually with sliced up cucumber in it - yum!!
Pickle
any fruit I have on hand
sugar snap peas0 -
Whatever I want really at the moment!
yoghurts, cereal, chocolate, dessert mousses.
Whatever tickles my fancy & is affordable.
Having what I want makes me feel like i'm not even on a diet so I know I will not go off track and will reach my goal.
In future i will probably have to become a lot more disciplined but that's another chapter.

I am a big snacked. I have at least three a day usually. I love pop chips if you can get them there. Pickles, oranges, and skinny cow desserts.0

One of my favorite low calorie snacks I eat is Hummus, but instead of pita bread, I eat a yellow, red, or orange bell pepper with it. one whole bell pepper is about 30 calories, and hummus is about 50 calories per serving.0

It depends where I am lol. On the go - protein bars, beef/ turkey jerks, nuts (stuff that are non-perishable and that I keep in my bag, car and at work) at home cheese stick, fruit, yogurt, edemame, baby carrots, etc. - more substantive things.0
-
My new favorite snack is a light laughing cow cheese wedge w/ pretzel crisps. I also like an apple or greek yogurt for a snack. I need to get on the hummus bandwagon...i've never tried the stuff.0

Carrots
An apple
Oatmeal
Toast with raw local honey on it
6 squares of my favorite chocolate
Hard boiled egg
The trick is portion control! I weigh almost everything, so I can know exactly what I'm putting in. Also, every time I have a snack I have some water too. My favorite way to drink water is with an orange slice in it and a pinch of sugar or stevia. Satisfies the sweet tooth, keeps me hydrated, and keeps my energy up!0 -
Today I brought a hard boiled egg. yesterday i had a carrot and cherries.. i also have greek yogurt with granola and honey today and yesterday for my brunch.
Some days i'm hungier then others.. i'm not a tad bit hungry today.. Sometimes it's a granola or protein bar.. I eat nuts or an apple or orange.. salads.. weird organic stuff from my organic grocer (always hit or miss lol), nut thins or chrackers with cheese, organic multigrain chips for a certain week always seem to work. high quality dark chocolate, peanut butter on an apple or on celery. Nutella on anything..
Variety makes life interesting.0 -
Turkey Jerkey, Cottage Cheese, cucumbers with lemon, string cheese light.
Thanks for this post I got good ideas too. Also a can of tuna is always my backup snack. Easy0 -
Fun Snack Idea: Rosemary triscuits -6 120 cal half cup of cucumber slices- 4 cal table spoon of Tuscan humus-35 cal Spread humus on cracker and top with a cucumber slice with skin on for double crunch. Use remainder of humus on remainder of cucumber slices. Enjoy!0

Also I snack cumbers and celery with a little nut butter or hummus. I also like sugar free ice pops for 15 calories some are less if u can find em I think at dollar store. Becareful with humus and nut butter they can be fatty if you do not portion. I think my next idea will be frozen fruit kabobs. I will let u guys know. Strawberries are good and minimal frozen grapes.0

Apples and cucumbers!!!! Apples also kill that urge for something sweet while keeping me feeling full and cucumbers sprinkled with lemon juice and some chili or some light salt kill that urge for something tarty! It really helps me throughout the day!!!0

My family is big on dessert, but I always try to have more "healthier" options (although once in a while it's totally okay to indulge!)
My main picks:
-- Island way sorbet cups
-- grapes
-- watermelon
-- cherries
-- apples
-- strawberries
-- sugar free gummies
-- frozen blueberries (beware, they turn your mouth blue :-P)
-- Chapman's frozen yogurt in Vanilla, Cappucino, Dutch Chocolate or Cherry
-- Special K crackers
-- Pepperidge farm crackers
-- Crispy minis
-- carrots
-- snap peas
-- pineapple
-- air popped popcorn
-- dark chocolate chips
-- yogurt
-- Special K bars
-- a bowl of Special K or Life cereal
-- Any of the portion controlled 100 cal snack packs
It's important to not deprive yourself though! If you're going out to the movies or with friends it's fine if you splurge a bit and get some popcorn or chocolate or whatever.. losing weight is a lifestyle change, not a prison sentence!0 -
my snacks vary depending on my mood.. but lately, I've been eating:
Hummus and Wheat Thins (my new favorite is Cedar's Garden Vegetable hummus)
Laughing cow cheese on a plain salt free rice cake
Grapes, Strawberries or Melon
Hunt's Fat Free chocolate pudding (to satsify my chocolate cravings)
Light Microwave Popcorn
Weight watchers frozen raspberry chocolate bars (obsessed with that combination)
Plain rice cakes with 2 Tbsp of Better 'N Peanut Butter
Light english muffin toasted - with Better 'N Peanut Butter
White cheddar rice cakes
Greek Yogurt
Fiber One Chocolate & Pretzel Bar0 -
Some of my favorites...
Special K bars (my favorites are the Raspberry Cheesecake & the Cookies and Cream pastry crisps)
Light string cheese
Laughing Cow wedges
Edy's fat free vanilla frozen yogurt
Raspberries, Pineapple, and Mango
Snacks I get from my Graze subscription
Also, for any cookie dough addicts (but not good at portion control :]) Special K also has 100 calorie packs of "Blondie Bites." These taste JUST like raw cookie dough. I'm not in any way saying this is the best option for a snack (you don't get much and it isn't filling) BUT if you are addicted to raw cookie dough like me, one of these really does the trick.0 -
Greek yogurt
mandarin oranges with cottage cheese
apples with peanut butter
fiber one brownie
wasa cracker with laughing cow and a slice of deli meat/chicken or bacon0 -
Greek yogurt with fresh fruit added
Celery sticks and a wedge of laughing cow cheese
Grapes
boiled egg
String cheese
jerky
cottage cheese
fruit
apple slices with peanut butter0 -
plain baked yam.0
