Soda Addicts Anonymous! Who else cut soda out?

In order to facilitate my weight loss goal of 125 pounds, I completely cut out soda 4 weeks and ago, and can I just say...I FEEL AMAZING.
Now, that's not to say the first few days I wasn't ready to kill someone.
I've been drinking 32+ ounces of Diet Coke 5 days a week for the past few years (I work at a restaurant where we get free soda). Splurge on the occasional Fanta or Sprite!
The first couple of days I was missing it hardcore - I love my fizzy drinks.
But, I eventually got used to it. Drinking lots and lots of water now, with the occasional iced tea (with lemon only! - no sweetener or sugar) and orange juice in the morning.
I feel so much more refreshed and hydrated now, and my headaches have decreased! I used to drink more and more Diet Coke to get the caffeine to help with a headache, but in hindsight, it was probably dehydrating me and making me feel worse!
So, any other Soda Addicts Anonymous members out there wanna share their ''kick the can'' stories?

ME !!!!! Cut soda out in January 2012. Don't miss it at all. First 2 weeks were tough. After that I didn't even really like the taste anymore. I still have one maybe once a month. I prefer water now.0

Day Four here and I'm not going to lie-it's been HARD. I was a hard core diet soda drinker and have been since I was a kid. I don't drink coffee so my only caffeine comes from the soda. But, I've come to a point in my life where I was fed up with being dependent on the caffeine-it had to go!
I did buy a couple two liter bottles of diet Sprite to help me transition-no caffeine but it still gave me the feeling of drinking soda. I'm almost done with the second one and then I'm not buying any more. The headaches are much less intense today, so I think I'm almost over the caffeine withdrawal After this I will only be drinking water. Really simplifies things lol.0 -
I had my last one in January. It was rough at first, but don't miss it at all now. It has definitely helped my weight loss and feels great. Good luck! You can do it.0

i never used to drink a lot of soda, until i married my husband....*sighs* that man drinks so much of the stuff its insane, and admittedly, i realized my own consumption was getting out of hand. when a 24 pack of diet pop- i dont really care for the regular- only lasted me a few days i snapped.
i cut it out for other reasons- the fizz hurting bone density, and the sugars and stuff. granted the last straw was something i found on pintrest, saying you get get the scum off your toilet off using some coke. i was appalled.
i went 2 weeks without and the on an impulse i bought a 20 oz root beer.
i couldnt even choke it down. i managed half of it before i just tossed the rest away. it was so sweet and just made me feel so gross.
ill stick to my powerade zero and water, and the occasional juice.0
