Does the Pee-Eww Eliminator really work?

I've noticed a stench around the place recently and I've found this product which sounds like exactly what I need:

I'm not sure if it will work though. The stink I'm talking about is vile and invades all sorts of places. I've tried ignoring it and I've used the usual clean up methods. I even got some of my friends to help. But it's like the reek has some sort of protection which means it sticks around and continues to make me feel nauseous.

I'm at my wits end!

Does anyone have any experience with Pee-Eww Eliminator? Did it work for you?

    i havent tried that.

    IN for reccommendations.
  • I've never tried it, but when I looked up reviews, they were all positive. I think using a blacklight would be best for finding the source and this product looks like it comes with one. One review said it discolored their white rug, but they still loved the results. You can always try it out and hope for the best :]

If it's expensive (i didn't look at the price), you could buy a blacklight and pet stores might have other options or you could use carpet cleaner.

    Good luck!

We have used Nature's Miracle in the past.

If' it's carpet, may I share my experience? I haven't tried Pee-Eww, but I have tried Nature's Miracle and I was disappointed. I fostered a kitten for a little while and he just didn't use the litterbox as I'd hoped. Instead, he seemed to pee around the perimeter of my dining room, multiple times. Talk about stinky! What has finally worked for me, after literally trying dozens of things, dozens of times, is a mixture of baking soda and tea tree oil. I mixed them together and sprinkled them on the carpet, then took my broom and really worked the stuff into the carpet. I haven't vacuumed it up yet, because you can hardly see the powder in my beige carpet. I may never vacuum it up until we move. But, so far, no more stink. YMMV.

you can try using white vinegar in a carpet shampooer that is what we do and it works. use about 1 cup of vinegar to 1 gallon of water.

I work at a pet store and sell a ton of Nature's Miracle. Nok Out odor remover is better.

Perhaps getting rid of the culprit may be more effective than just spraying the mess created?

I'm sure they're are plenty of shelters that will take lost, confused, disobedient animals?

In my experience, no, it doesn't work. No matter how many times you chase that stench away, it just keeps coming back.
  • Maybe if you use it to saturate the offender? Paying particular attention to the mouth area...if it goes in smelling nice, maybe it will come out less craptacular?

The only way to stop it is at its source.

I almost can't tell if this is a joke post in regard to the "stench" in the forums.....or in your actually home...lol But just in case it's a legit question...

I use it at home and it works great. Not so much for stain removal, but for smell yes. You have to really soak the area and let it sit if it's already a stain to get the smell out. If it's a fresh area, clean it up with paper towels or something then soak the area and let it sit for a few minutes and dry it up. Always works for me.

Using a blacklight? I have 3 boys...youngest is sophomore in high school...If I shine a blacklight around my house...I'll probably end up moving!

As a dog groomer and trainer for 30 years I can tell you NONE of the products actually work. It's more than likely been soaked down to the padding & the only answer is to rip it up and replace it!

Can you recommend some good tools for ripping it up? What should I replace it with? I don't ever want this problem again.

I took him to the shelter as it was too much for me (he has other anti-social issues), but after they assessed him they refused to take him. They said the only option was to put him down, which I thought was a bit harsh. But, if the Pee-Eww Eliminator doesn't work, then I might not have an option.

This would be more effective if I had some sort of graph to tell me how it works at different variables. Can't you just randomly make some stuff up?

Agreed. I don't need studies or data points (whatever they are).

All I need is one person who says 'this is what works'. That is PROOF, LOGIC and SCIENCE all rolled into one.

Something with a high amount of protein in it might do the trick. I don't know about the Pee-Eww Eliminator, but I found this pretty interesting, in a "what the...?!" kinda way. Of course I had to take a picture of it!
