The number one thing I can suggest is Do NOT focus on 125 lbs. Keep it simple and small. Make small goals, 5-10 lbs by this date. What this does is give you more 'Ups' emotionally. If you focus on the total weight loss goal and things are moving slowly or you keep thinking about how large the # is, it might eventually drain on your motivation. Where as if you're focusing on small goals, reaching those goals, you're going to find yourself becoming more proud of your effort, it's ultimately going to boost your confidence that you can succeed. This of course i all just a matter of opinion, but the #1 most important thing and you mentioned it is, stay positive and believe in yourself.

Good luck, you can do this!

To all of you looking for motivation.

Think about something or something that means the most to you in your life. Something you want to do or someone you couldn't imagine your life without.

This might sound a little harsh and if it does, I apologize, but, if you're imagining a child, a husband, a wife, a friend, a brother, a sister, etc. look in the mirror. Think about all the potential problems you might face if you don't put in the work and accomplish what you not only know you want to, but know you should. Remind yourself "I want to be around to see my kids grow up", "I want to grow old with my husband/wife", or whatever to whomever it applies.

If it's something you want to do, use it as a reward, start saving when you can, start working hard, it could be a beach trip or a trip to Italy, whatever it is.

The key to motivation is that in order to accomplish something like this it has to have some meaning to it. If you feel like you're doing it for no reason, chances are, you're not going to end up doing it at all. Find that motivation, that meaning in your life, that thing that losing this weight would let you do, or not losing this weight could take away.

Think about how losing this weight would make you feel about yourself.

Another important thing is, don't think just because you have 20 lbs, 50 lbs, 100 lbs, 125 lbs, whatever it is, to lose, that you're not a good person, an amazing, worth while person. Don't listen to anyone's negativity, listen to your own positivity and BE POSITIVE. Start small, work your way from goal to goal and feel the accomplishment, don't be afraid to smile along the way. The ability to accomplish this is within each of you, you just have to pull it out and push yourself to do it.

Good luck to each and every one of you. I know you're all capable, now you have to tell yourself that YOU know you're capable.

Don't let bad days get you in a rut. Take it for what it is and get back into it the next day. I started at over 400lbs and smoking 2 or 3 packs of cigarettes a day. As of today I'm 295 and smoke free. I was a mess and I did it so trust me you can to! :-)
