Anyone used/using Alli pills?

Girl, you don't need some crazy-*kitten* pills. Nobody does, because they're stupid, but you CERTAINLY don't need to hurry to lose weight.
more like crazy *kitten*-pills, amirite?
hahaha yeah! Don't know what I was thinking! Just have to stick to my gym regime!0 -
Gives a whole new meaning to the term party pooper.
Tee hee   :laugh:0 -
Why would anyone willingly experience anal leakage? No way!
Yeaaaaahhhh... if you want to worry every time you have to fart that you are going to leak yellow oil out of your butt, then go for it. You will need to wear a pad for your *kitten*, get new undies, and worry a lot. And- it doesn't just happen when you pass gas. It happens with no warning.
You don't even *feel* it either, because it is exactly body temp. It is terrifying.
Warm stinky oil, leaking out of your butt at any given moment.
I would rather starve.0 -
This is the absolute truth... Nastiest thing ever... Horrifying0

Undigested fat cannot be absorbed and passes through the body naturally. The excess fat is not harmful. In fact, you may recognize it in the toilet as something that looks like the oil on top of a pizza.
Here the drug makers are trying to soothe the nerves of the skeptical fatty, by speaking their language. Pizza is something fatties understand, and a big part of the reason they’re interested in Alli to begin with. Pizza is good, pizza is reassuring… even when it’s flowing from your *kitten* like molten lava.
The website mentions seeing the undigested fat in a toilet, but that’s clearly a best case scenario. You might also see it on the tops of your shoes, across the hood of a car, or way up the shower curtain, near the loops.
The fat passes out of your body, so you may have bowel changes, known as treatment effects.
Bowel changes. Notice how they phrase that? It means stuff will be happening the likes of which you could never have imagined. It’ll be like a daily Dean Koontz novel inside your underwear.
You may get:
gas with oily spotting
You’ll be farting Wesson oil straight through your Dockers…
loose stools
and having violent chipped beef explosions...
more frequent stools that may be hard to control
all the time, with a sphincter that can no longer be counted as a friend.
Eating a low-fat diet lowers the chance of these bowel changes. Limit fat intake in your meals to an average of 15 grams.
The McDonald’s Big Mac has 34 grams of fat, and the Burger King Whopper has 40. Eat either of these while taking Alli, and you’ll very likely be transformed into a diarrhea cannon.
Learning how to manage treatment effects is an important part of being successful with alli. Here's how to take control:
Start trimming fat from your diet now, even before you begin taking alli. Then pick a day to begin taking alli, such as a weekend day so you can stay close to home if you experience a treatment effect. Make the timing work for you. If you're getting ready to travel or attend a social event, hold off on starting with alli until the event is over
Blowing liquid feces down a row of bridesmaids, for instance, could be viewed negatively in certain circles. Further, an unexpected bout of the power-squirts while riding “The Bullet” at the county fair might not ingratiate you with your friends. Or anyone on the fairway. Or the folks in the parking lot walking to their cars.
While no one likes experiencing treatment effects, they might help you think twice about eating questionable fat content. If you think of it like that, alli can act like a security guard for your late-night cravings
You see, when you think about it, ****ting yourself is actually a positive.
You can't "save fat grams" from lunch and "spend them" at dinner. Spread your daily fat gram allowance of 15 grams on average per meal over the whole day
Cheating can lead to embarrassment, tears, and the introduction of a frantically constructed toilet paper crack-wedge in the bathroom of an Applebee's. It’s simply not worth it.
You may feel an urgent need to go to the bathroom. Until you have a sense of any treatment effects, it's probably a smart idea to wear dark pants, and bring a change of clothes with you to work
Until you get the hang of it, you should probably take along a rolling suitcase full of brown clothes everywhere you go, while taking Alli. Luckily, however, turd-colored clothing is in this season; turd is the new vomit.
If co-workers ask about it, there is no shame in telling the truth. You might be surprised how understanding folks can be if you simply say, “I dress like this to conceal the poop that's constantly soaking through the seat of my pants.”
You may not usually get gassy, but it's a possibility when you take alli. The bathroom is really the best place to go when that happens
Showboating is not recommended.
You can use a food journal to recognize what foods can lead to treatment effects. For example, writing down what you eat may help you learn that marinara sauce is a better option than Alfredo sauce
In addition to a handcart full of extra pants designed to camouflage your anal leakage, it might also be a good idea to carry a schematic and information wheel, so you don't repeat past mistakes and have a treatment effect halfway up your back.
I hope this information has proven to be valuable.0 -
They don't work. You leak orange liquid out of your *kitten*.0
-
I tried them a couple of years ago and they just made me bloated/have water retention. Might be effective for other people though0
-
Ugh, I used them for a week or two. I think I lost about 3lbs. The side effects are horrible!
Sorry for the gross images but if I went to the toilet it would pour out and it was orange. I had bleach by the toilet to get rid of the oily orange stuff that it left inside the loo. If I were to fart my knickers were wet with the orange stuff again. I had to wear a period pad and some toilet roll inbetween my cheeks just to stop it looking like I've sat in a puddle of oil.
I seriously do not recommend Alli. I hated every second of it.0 -
I actually had a Co worker who did alli. She had GREAT results. Once she figured out what would cause her to have the leakage that was pointed out, which meant a high fat content, she knew to stop eating those foods which helped her change her eating habits over an extended period of time. It's not pleasant but a good tool to help you change your bad eating habits. It did take a while but she lost about 50 pounds and kept it off for quite some time.
It's like paying someone to slap you every time you eat too much fat.0 -

^ I think I would MUCH prefer a slap in the face.0 -
Years ago I took the prescription version Xanecal (double strength) and I lost a lot of weight. I swear by them. But... the mode of action scares me. They cause the pancreas to act irregularly and it doesn't absorb some of the fat you eat. Pancreatic cancer is not treatable and no one knows what causes it. So I only take them occasionally if I'm having Italian food for example. My husband doesn't like the occasional leakage so he won't take them. It doesn't happen all that much. I admit I do chance it. I once asked a cardiologist what he thought about Alli and he said it was a great medicine. His reasoning is less fat goes into the blood.0

Alli is like threatening your body. Eat too much fat? Get ready for some leakage and wet farts!0

Why would anyone willingly experience anal leakage? No way!
ITA. No matter how desperate I may have ever been to drop weight, after reading the distasteful truth about Alli I concluded I would NO WAY never take one of those pills!!!0 -
Yes I used it for about a month. It did work. I dropped a few pounds not only because it doesn't allow you to absorb all the fat you eat but also the fattier stuff you eat..the more...messy you become. Since you don't want that you tend to avoid those foods. But after a while you get sick of that effect so I couldn't stay on it any longer.0
-
no not me, but i have a friend who did and she believes they cost her a glall bladder.0
-
Please don't use them. It's another fad diet with horrible side effects.
Take it from a 58 year old woman who has tried nearly every fad diet invented. The true success for lifetime takes changes in your nutrition and moving yourself off the couch.
See my ticker below.....done it without surgery, fad diets, etc. I follow the advice of my nutritionist for calories and exercise.
The last 3 days have been pure mental torture for me, so I let myself go for those 3 days. As of today, back on the band wagon to give those last 8 pounds a whooping!0 -

If you dumb enough to need to soil yourself in order to "learn" that too much high fat foods are bad for you, I have very little hope for humanity.....0 -

Tried them when they first became available. Did little for me. Ends up, I don't eat that much fat.
Now, if you could make a pill that would cause me to crap my pants when I ate too much sugar, then you'd have something.0 -
My sister and I looked it up when it came out a few years ago because someone she knew was using it. One of the suggestions on the site was while you get used to the "treatment effects", think about wearing dark pants to work. :huh:0

^^Yep! And the way this was put is funny and true.0 -
You do not need pills to lose weight.
1. Eat sensibly
2. Move your body
It will come off with patience and time
If you feel the need to pop pills in your mouth get some amino acid pills and B100 complex.
This. Simply and perfectly put.0 -
I use the double strength ones perscribed by my GP. I havent had any nasty side effects and yeah the weights dropping off me.0
