Pretty much the title sums it up. I signed up mostly for the caloric values of all the foods but I don't want to pay for it as cheap as that sounds.

    It is free but I ask you to consider if there was a tool for a nominal fee which could help you turn your life around and gain your health back, would you not pay? I would. But of course, luckily MFP is not like any of those fad diets trying to rob us of our money. :)

    It is free, which motivated me to use it and I pair it with Endomondo, also free, which automatically records your walking, biking, running, etc. into MFP. Two really great tools to use/have to help you reach your goals. You just need to get into the habit of using it. :) Good luck to you!

    Yes. But you might have noticed ads and recommendations for commercial MFP partners. It makes its money the same way other ad-supported free sites do. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

    The site is free as of this moment (and no signs of it being made to charge since its been this way for atleast 4 years that I know of).

    It is a good site that I've been using for more than 1 year. I think you will like it here.

    Yes. That is why you get weird ads (mostly driven by your searches on your computer as well as trigger words you use in any posts you make). On those days when it is slow or down for a bit, be patient cause they are working on it but there is a huge data base here and it is a job to keep it all together.

    It's free.. but you sometimes get FOOD ADS for fast food. Not what I like to see when I haven't had any fast food for over 6 months but I guess it's a small price to pay,
