Conference Eating

 Ugh! I am at a conference this week, and eating right is virtually impossible! It's also pretty difficult to track my calories, as most meals are provided by the hotel and I have no idea what is in them. There is no option for me to eat elsewhere for breakfast or lunch as my company has already paid for them as part of the conference package. So, anyone have any advice? Essentially, it is buffet after buffet, but each day that changes. I have tried to get at least a salad in at lunch and some fruit for breakfast, but neither is too filling. The upside is that I have to walk to get dinner, so I'm guarenteed a little exercise from that, but don't have time to do the rest of my normal workout. Please help!

I usually don't eat the conference breakfast when I go. I take a protein bar or packets of instant oatmeal if your room has a microwave. I've also used the small coffee pot to heat water for oatmeal. If you think lunch is some something laden with fat try eating just half of it.0

Can you bring your own food? I have a conference coming up, and I told my job not to order me any food, I am going to bring my own food and snacks. Can you run to Walmart and buy a workout DVD, or go for a walk or run0

I would prob do the same do a shop for things like instant oatmeal, rice cakes, fruit, and dry cereal. hotel rooms also often have mini bar fridges that you can fit yogurt into, small thing of milk. i would prob skip the buffet breakfest cuz that is the easiest meal for you to makeshift in your room. If you buy canned soup and bread you can prob skip buffet lunch leaving you just with dinner to contend with and then I would try to pick the most whole simple foods you can ie chicken breast and salad bar skipping the dressing. Also, if you want to do the breakfast ones sometimes they have made to order omelettes that you could make egg white with veggies.0
