Vibrating machines to help inches loss

Hi,
Has any body used the vibrio plates?
There are machine that send vibration through you body and 10 mins is supposed to be the eqivalant of 1 hour workout in the gym. The benefits are supposed to strengthen and tone muscle and improve circulation. If so can you record it as part of excerise ?
Thanks

If that actualy worked, nobody would be overweight. Exercise and eat at a caloric deficits = lose weight. Eat enough protein so you minimize muscle lost during the fat lose process because muscle will help you burn more calories and make you LEAN. Slow and steady wins the race.

I used the power plate and toned up!! But I was doing squats, lunges, calf raises, push Ups and dips etc on it as well as cardio and weights elsewhere. You have to put hard work into anything to see real results!!
  • I have one and I think they are brill, I do a lot more than 10 mins on it and I have lost inches I normally stand and do twists on them, I'm not sure if you lose any calories on them though but someone said its 49 calories per 10 mins :)

Is this why my girlfriend is always sitting on the dryer?

(OP. Your answer is no. 10 minutes will not burn an hours worth of calories just by jiggling around.)

    Yes.
You need to work on them, people think you just stand on them and they work( I blame the manufacturers for giving that impression) I'm a Powerplate PT and they WILL work as an added thing, you need to diet and exercise to enhance the results of a Powerplate. They are great for strengthening and bone density.

I used them for a month when a "vibro gym" opened near where I live. We were told by the "trainer" all we had to do was stand for 20 mins. Fat load of use that did, it wasnt until I did a little bit of research and started to do squats, planks, pushups, twists etc on them that I noticed any change and that was just some slight toning. I stopped going after the "trainer" started trying to encourage us to buy their diet pills to "maximise effects" after we mentioned that it wasnt working as well as she had claimed.

    HI

They are the work of the devil. I went on for 10 mins and tore the cartilage in my knee and a week tomorrow go in for surgery. Not happy about that at all.
