Does anyone frequently use healthy choice or other frozen meals? I was thinking about buying these for work since it would be soooo much easier.

Although they are not complete meals, I sometimes use Trader Joe's. The frozen fish is minimally processed. Their tilapia takes about 12-15 minutes to bake (you can microwave it too,but I prefer it baked). If you bring a yam or potato and fruit or yogurt, you'll have a decent meal. You can cook it frozen or you can leave it in cold water in the fridge and it will be thawed by lunch time.

Whatever you choose, watch the sodium.

I have a hard time staying under my Sodium levens when I eat frozen meals. I have found some "Healthy" ones have a lot of calories too..... Watch for the ones that have 2 or more servings per box too.

I try not to just because I don't think they are worth the money for the bit of food they give.

What about making your own? Take a day once a week (or once a month if you have a larger freezer) and make your own meals and pop into containers into the freezer for work lunches? Or make two extra servings at dinner... one for lunch the next day and one goes into the freezer for another day.

I do eat frozen meals but maybe only four times a year. I find I can make my own for much cheaper and with a much higher quality of ingreidents and nutrition.

I know a lot of people bash them, but I recently started buying frozen meals. I've tried Healthy Choice, Smart Ones, Lean Cuisines and some of the organic, smaller companies. I actually find that, as long as I eat only one that day, I'm able to stay within my sodium allowance with absolutely no problem.

For me, it's easier this way because I usually leave in such a hurry in the morning - and if I forget to pack lunch, the only things around my work are McDonald's, Chipotle and Portillo's. So I'd rather have a Lean Cuisine with a baggie of carrots and an apple. And I frequently work 10-12 hour days, so skipping lunch is not an option.

If I have time (or remember), I do try to pack something a little less junky, though.

I work long days too so i take weight watchers meals to work. They're good if you want something hot during your shift.
