Was starting to look into buying little pedals for under my desk so I can continue working out through the day instead of feeling like a lump. I tested and believe I'd have enough space so my knees don't hit the table, have any of you tried this?

I thought about that, but it's just silly. Eat a little less, and you're better off.

Make sure to stand up and fix your posture every 15 minutes though.
  • Heya. If you find some way to exercise while sitting at desk, let me know. I'm a grad student, spend 8-10 hours a day at a desk reading/studying, and reading on treadmill makes me motion sick. The only solution I've found is after an hour or so, to get up and move around for ten minutes--put on some music and dance around my apartment, or do some "active" task. Might not work so good for an office environment, though!! haha.

I worked with someone who had that once and the stupid thing would creak and be really noisy when everyone was trying to work, so I advise no for your co-workers sake. Haha.
Why don't you try working out on your lunch break? I know a lot of people who do that.

I do a few rounds of tabata (4 minutes) every day . It's quick and easy and really gets the blood flowin' and my HR up. I also walk or jog at lunch. I don't think I could actually sit here at work and pedal.

I am recovering from leg surgeries. I stand up every hour and I walk for a few minutes, depending on my daily schedule.
I found that I can walk close to 7000 steps (measured with pedometer) this way.

It is not much, but everything helps, other than sitting for several hours.

If I am not working out (rest day). I lower my calorie intake for that day.

    Good luck in your journey

I work a desk job. I just make sure I stand at least once an hour, and I go for a 15 min walk in the morning and the afternoon in addition to my workouts.
