It was about 2 weeks for me, doing stronglifts, while continuing with my cardio with resistance workouts.
I soon after switched to weights circuits with dumbbells and doing that has given me very good results (though that might be subjective) in dropping my bodyfat to 12% from 18% over the course of 4-5 months.0
