Kettle Ball Workouts

Options
Hey!

I just bought my first kettle ball! Any suggestions on your favorite workout? I'm hoping to find a couple that DON'T involve me flinging the thing around the room, as I'm a complete KLUTZ! No specific body area to "target", just looking for some suggestions.

Like this guy, releasing the ball. No thanks. He even commented about how he crushed his left foot!

I used this one and found it very effective (especially for a beginner).

I've been taking kettlebell classes with my trainer. The main thing to focus on is your form. When you swing the kettlebell, be sure you are pushing through your heels and using your legs and thrusting with hips to swing the bell. If you swing it wrong, you could injure yourself. I hope you enjoy your experience with the kettlebells. I think they are a lot of fun.

I have a DVD by Gin Miller...I think it's called Calorie Burner. I love it.

I have Jillian Michael's Shred it with Weights, which incorporates a kettle bell or dumbell, and I really enjoy it. It was two levels and each is 25 min. Have only done the first level but liked how much it worked me and could definitely feel it the next day!! I bought it on Amazon for $9 I think.

Jillian Michael's has a DVD that uses a kettlebell in the workout. It's called Jillian Michaels: Shred It With Weights. There are 2 levels of workouts, about 30 mins a piece.

The challenge with kettle-bell workouts is that often times you have to find the workout first and then get a kettle-bell that weighs the recommended amount. while you shop for a workout DVD, check the weight they want you to use.

I have trained personally with this guy, he's brilliant. He's got a fantastic reputation, if you happen to live in the UK, near High Wycombe I can highly recommend him! He also did a kettle bell challenge for charity, raising money for our local hospital. He did 1000 snatches in an hour... IMMENSE!!!!!!

Anyway, the guy is really good - hope you get something from the video!

    Han x

PS this is the video of the 1000 snatch challenge. His hands were a state for ages after! I would suggest sticking to fewer reps to begin with...
