Guys losing weight in butt & thighs

I'm a guy, 23, have been doing this my fitness pal for a while but lost track and had to restart since the beginning of the month (went from about 212 at the end of April to 195 now). I've been doing mostly yoga and some cardio/circuit training DVDs like Jillian Michaels and running occasionally and also really making sure I stick to my 1800 calories. So far, I've been losing weight mainly in my stomach and especially in my waist, but not very much in my thunder thighs and butt. What kind of workouts would help with that? Most of the fitness DVDs I've looked at that focus on thighs/butt have been targeted towards women. Do you think those would still work for me? Can anybody relate?
I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

If you have access to a gym, a recumbent bike will do wonders. Like you a lot of my weight was centered around that area, with biking I gained a lot firmness down there. They say you can't spot reduce but if you workout the muscles beneath hard enough they will give you a better impression of that area on your body.

I'm the other way around. While I have lost pretty much all the fat in my butt and thighs (went down 2 sizes for pants), I still hold plenty around my belly. Just keep working out and losing weight, you will eventually lose fat in your problem areas.

Just as the body deposits fat on your body in a way mostly determined by your genetics, it will slowly melt away as you exercise. Don't worry about targeting specific areas, just eat clean, burn calories by exercising (strength and cardio) and the fat will go away on it's own. It's a common misconception that (for example) doing crunches will make you lose belly fat. Doing EXERCISE makes you lose belly fat. Doing crunches strengthens your abdominal muscles.

    Stick to it!
