calories burning

If I eat 1200 calories I need to burn 1200 calories?

Also I am a full time server I have days where I work over 9hrs. How do I factor this into my diet plan? I stay at 1200 calories a day. Do I add it to the calories I burn? Do I up my calorie intake?

That should be taken into account when you enter your activity level (sendentary, etc) in your profile.

Also, unless you are super short and ridiculously high body fat percentage, you can probably burn 1200 calories just sitting on your butt all day. Make sure your settings are right, or you can try using something like a fitbit tracker to help you out.

You do NOT want to burn everything you eat. Your body requires calories just to pump blood, breath, and otherwise function. MFP usually sets your NET calories at 1200, which is too low for many people, depending on their activity level. Net calories = calories eaten - calories burned from exercise. For example, if you burn 400 calories from exercise, you need to eat 1600 calories to net 1200. If you work at an active job such as nursing or teaching, you'll want your net to be higher or you're going to bottom out pretty quickly. If you have a sedentary job, try 1200, but if your weight loss slows down considerably after a few weeks you'll actually want to try increasing your calories.

What's a good amount of calories to burn?
I'm def struggling with losing weight. I try to stay below 1200 and workout 1-2 times a day. Guess Ineed to eat more.
