I have a super athletic ,slender, happy dog. Today I took her to the lakey lake..lol. She chased grasshoppers with limitless leaps and bounds, she ran like a crazy woman through head high grass, she did 3ft lizard leaps in the river. She cariied a huge branch for about 3 miles. She had FUN! I have noticed she eats with pure joy becasue she is truly hungry. She uses her body for all it is worth until she cant keep her eyes open. If I offer her chow on a day when she is not active she will eat some of it, but there will be chow left. Today I know I have much to learn from my beloved dog girl.

I love that my dog never looks at me like "Nah, I don't feel like hiking today" when I ask him. If he sees me putting on my shoes his tail starts to wag ever so slowly until he is sure, then he bounds up and jumps up and down at the door. So motivating, the pure joy of dogs living in the moment and loving every minute of being outside!

Yeah. You are 100% right. My little puppy prances crazily when I take him out for a walk. And the best part is that they never get tired and are always ready for more action.

I agree with this apart from the fact that my dog will ALWAYS eat, however much exercise she does!!
