You don't have to eat "healthy " ...whatever that means. You need to eat at a deficit to lose. You can eat garbage at a deficit and lose. But why wouldn't you want to take good care of your body and feed it well?0

Get enough protein while being in a deficit to preserve muscle. If you eat junk, you usally get hungry after eating all your calories and forced to starve or go over your calories, so eating foods that will keep you full like veggies are good idea. its ok for a little treat here and there as long as it fits your macros. Also if you just go by a calorie is a calorie and eat anything as long as you stay within your calories theres a good chance you can lose muscle if you dont get enough protein.0

Yes, you DO need to eat healthy. Otherwise, you will just gain all of your weight back once you stop the diet. Also, being fit and healthy is the whole point, isn't it? And eating healthy isn't really that hard once you get into the habit. Also, if you eat healthy you will feel fuller, more energetic, and will get to eat more food with less caloric consequence.0
