non- workout calorie burns???

i've somewhat gotten past the whole workout phase sadly. i plan to get a gym membership to spice it up a bit but til then, what kind of things do yall do to actually "burn calories" other than the same routine???? sometimes i go swimming or play with my dogs and garden or spend the day with my neices and nephews. my sister lost about 30 lbs by being more interactive with her two girls everyday! ( she also runs errands and went organic).

    I reccmend doing things the hard way. Modern technology has taken out the calorie burn factor out of our lives. It has made us fat. We don't need energy bars and snacks like we did. So what I mean by "hard way" is do dishes manually, walk to store, mow the lawn on foot, garden, housework, etc
