I'm trying to be more realistic for the long haul!0

I eat between 1400 and 1600 a day.0

Pre-pregnancy I was losing on 2400kcal.
MFP figures just don't fit me at all, as their activity levels don't get even close to my reality (as judged by fitbit and logging for maintenance). I wish I had never tried 1200kcal + exercise because I lost way too quickly and it may have contributed to my becoming anaemic.0 -
Mine says no more that 1200 net calories per day if I want to lose 1 pound a week. I realise I have a sedentary lifestyle, but 1200 isn't a lot :-(0

I eat pretty much 2-3000 a day. Ohfk being hungry. I can lose weight and be sated.0

I eat net 1200 / day. I'm never hungry because I make filling food choices including whole grains, lean protein, etc.0

I can't. I'm ALWAYS hungry. If I do, I f up my metabolism, and I can't even function well. My muscles weaken and my concentration becomes *kitten*.
I don't even count calories at all, because it will just consume my mind like it has earlier in life. But it's surely 2K+ each day. I just make sure I mostly eat quite healthily and keep treats to a minimum, and I eat when I'm hungry, and stop when I'm full.
But I'm 6ft and blessed with a decent metabolism, I DIE on that little food.
I sometimes wish I only needed much smaller amounts, because it's too expensive to feed me, haha.0 -
I am allowed 1330 calories a day. I usually go over, but workout enough.0

I HAVE to be at 1300 a day to lose. By that I mean if I don't exercise I eat 1300, if I burn 200 cals I eat 1500.
1200 makes it more efficient for me. But if I get less than a 500 cal deficit a day, I don't lose at all.
Sounds like the body's "starvation prevention" mechanism trying to kick in, when you hit that specific 500 deficit. Good you recognize that; many people dont and get frustrated with low/no weight loss.0 -

I followed MFP for 4.5 months then switched to TDEE-25%, which puts me around 1850 calories a day, counting exercise (5 hours a week or so). I haven't been eating that much consistently though. MFP goal is now 1360 plus exercise calories or something, which I guess is closer to what I've been eating most days.
I'm honestly not sure where people are getting 1200 in the first place.0 -

Walk 10k steps a day (~5 miles) M-F 7k (~3.5miles) Weekends
I eat 1800-1900 on average a day to lose 1-2lbs per week
I started weight training this week so that will go up very soon.0 -
I eat 1700 to 2300 a day. Depending on hunger.0

I think I ate 1200 cal for lunch today (poutine is not a stellar choice) but with my running etc I'm usually eating 2000 to 2400 cal per day.0

I eat a straight 1600 calories every day whether I exercise or not0

Ditto here, Kazz. I don't even add in extra calories for an exercise adjustments, which I get from my FitBit One.0 -
you're looking at sedentary women dialling in a 2 lb/week weight loss aspiration. The recommended default 1 lb/week would be a better idea.
I have mine set to #1/week working out 6 days a week for 30 minutes a day and Active - and it gives me 1260. I eat back my exercise calories (Usually 300-400), but I try to get 1700. My calories if I was to maintain is about 2252 - so even taking 500 for #1 a week is 1752, much higher than what MFP gives me0 -
Im currently eating 2150, Once I get done with cut ill slowly walk back to 2650. But I figured out my caloric/macros needs on my own. The calculations that myfitnesspals gives can be off most times.0

I eat 2000ish cals on workout days and 1700-1800 on rest days. And I'm 40. I love muscle! lol0

MFP has me set at 1200 and this is losing one pound a week with plenty of exercise. I seldom lose more than one pound a week and I exercise every single day. I don't know if it is due to my age but I have thyroid disease and I have tried eating more and I gained. Just recently I ate normally with no logging for Mother's Day and it took me three weeks to lose another ounce. Hmmmm0
