I was on the news today to talk about the competition I am in: Hooping Idol (an international online video based competition) in which I have made it into the Top 3 and I'm the only American in the competition!

But on top of that I got to talk about how I lost 60lbs with hooping. It was definitely a NSV and felt pretty awesome to say on LIVE TELEVISION.

I was on this show back in october and the difference in how I look is also crazy (even though I was a good ways through the 60lbs during october)

    Very cool story! I remember hula hoops as a child...was never very good, but it was a lot of fun. I voted for you!

    Thank you all!! I highly recommend hooping as a weightloss tool, but I do NOT recommend the heavy (2-5lb) fitness hoops. They can be dangerous. Adult dance/sport hoops are all you need!! And are more fun anyway

    They always do that with hoopers!! Last time we were on we didn't even get interviewed haha. He'd had a bunch of Dunkin Donuts coffee (I'm blaming that). Dunkin Donuts was in the studio being interviewed too lol

    You rock! I just finished voting for you! I have been wanting a hoop for the longest (to relive those childhood memories). I was in a store and saw a colorful hoop display and was going to purchase one. My 14-year old daughter almost passed out in the store from embarrassment. I let it go for that day but when I go back to that store I'M BUYING ONE! :)

    I don't recommend kids hoops from the store. They are difficult for adults. It's easy to find adult sport/dance hoops online at places like Etsy or from independent sellers like Hoopnotica.

    Looks really fun. I used to love love love to hoop as a kid and bought another one in my 30s and then left it during a move... I think I need to go buy myself a new hoop!!! I miss it.
