Has anyone used this for running? If so, did it help you? I'm hoping to increase my pace.

I've used the app on my droid phone a few times, mostly when I'm traveling and go out for a run. I use the free run to track my time, distance and location in case I get lost. This works with phone's gps.
This week I just started using it to train for a half marathon in 3 months. I put in some basics about my current conditioning and speeds along with the date of the run and my goal time and it made a plan to get me there. My 12 year old son used the soccer preseason program last summer and it gave him a plan to work which was important to keep him focussed on the goal.
I think i want to get the pacer and the hrm to help with my half marathon training but I'm not sure how they work with an android phone, I know they have connectors for the iPhone but not other phones.0
