Sugars and Proteins

This nutrition thing as got me all confused! If I keep my sugars in range, my proteins go over! If my proteins stay in range, then my sugars go over! My plan expects me to only eat 22 grams of sugar a day. But I always have a glass of milk for breakfast. It's my favorite part of the day. That's half my sugar at breakfast! Augh!

How can you stay at or below 22 grams of sugar if you eat a lot of fruit? Is it okay to eat more protein when you're trying to loose weight? I've only been eating 2 - 4 oz of meat a day.

What can I eat and still stay in range on all my nutrition scales?

Ignore sugar and don't bother tracking it. Track your overall carbs, fats, and proteins.

    In order of priority:

    Proteins
    Fats
    Carbs

I would say up the proteins for sure. Try to get a healthy, lean protein at every meal and snack. Stay within your calories, but eating plenty of protein will keep you feeling satisfied throughout the day. Make sure you're getting plenty of vegetables too. Don't worry too much if you go over your sugar allowance as long as it is coming from non-processed foods and you are staying within your calorie limits. I try to keep my calories between 1200-1300 a day (and if you "earn" more calories by exercising, don't add in any extra food because it will just cancel out your hard work).
