Yahoo finished 30 Day Shred - pics and stats

Hi everyone,
First of all I would like to thank each and every person who has posted progress photos on the forum. I found inspiration and motivation with each one. Therefore, I am going to attempt to post mine as well.

The 30 day shred was the only exercise I have done in the past month while eating at 1200 calories. I completed the first 12 days using 600ml coke bottles full of water, and then sand for weights. From day 13 onwards I used 1.36kg (3lb) dumbbells.


Age 53 - Height 157cm (5'2")

*5th May 2013 - Day 0 of 30 Day Shred. Stats: 61.4 kg (135.8 lb.), Chest 91cm [35.8”], Waist 87cm [34.3”], Hips 96cm [37.8”], Thighs 58cm [22.8”]

*15th May 2013 – Day 10 - Level 1 - 30 Day Shred. Stats: 60.2 kg (132.5 lb.), Chest 89.5cm [35.2”], Waist 84cm [33”], Hips 92cm [36.2”], Thighs 57cm [22.5”]

*25th May 2013 – Day 20 –Level2 - 30 Day Shred. Stats: 58.9 kg (129.5 lb.), Chest 88cm [34.6”], Waist 81cm [31.9”], Hips 91cm [35.8”], Thighs 56.5cm [22.2”]

*5th June 2013 – Day 30 –Level3 - 30 Day Shred. Stats: 56.9 kg (125.2 lb.), Chest 88.5cm [34.8”], Waist 79cm [31.1”], Hips 89cm [35”], Thighs 54cm [21.3”]

Overall Results
Weight – less 4.5kg [9.9lb]
Chest – less 1.5cm [0.6”]
Waist – less 8cm [3.15”]
Hips – less 7cm [2.76”]
Thigh – less 4cm [1.57”]

    Thank you everyone for your lovely compliments. I tried out Ripped in 30 today, I am tossing up on whether doing that or doing 30 Day Shred again.

    Question - were you eating just 1200 calories or 1200 + exercise calories?

    I did not eat my exercise calories back, I just ate at 1200 calories. Thank you for your positive feedback.

    It seems that everyone is suggesting eating back the exercise calories, should I not be doing that???

    Amazing! Your before/after pics are very well done as well. You should send a copy to Jillian. I wouldn't doubt that she'd like to see your results as well. Way to go.

    Such an inspiration! Your starting stats are so similar to mine but I'm a little shorter. I'm planning to do Day 4 Level 1 later today. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm so glad I took some before pics. Not sure if I'll be posting them or not. It really encourages me to eat just the 1200 calories a day. I just don't think I burn that much doing this workout i.e. maybe 150 calories?

    My suggestion: Do the RI 30. It is a little different and challenges your muscles in different ways than 30DS. Weeks 3 and 4 are killer! You can always go back and do 30DS again after.

    Given how you look after the 30DS I would do the ripped in 30 but that's just my opinion
