So my husband leaves for work, but comes home within about 20 minutes. I thought "Uh oh, he's sick."Nope. He came back to bring me a couple of donuts to enjoy this morning. No wonder I love this guy!

I had a chocolate frosted chocolate cake donut from Dunkin Donuts with a piping hot cup of coffee :drinker:

Boss celebrated early and brought in a dozen yesterday............yes, I endulged. Now, I want a donut from Britt's Donuts at Carolina Beach, NC. Best dang donuts on the planet!!!

**Edit to say I live 2 hours away from Carolina Beach, so I will not indulge myself on this glutenous day, lol. **

Aww man - I'm from UK - I don't think we have doughnut day.

But on the other hand it would be rude not to celebrate with you all - and Tesco sells Krispy Kreme................
    That's where I'm heading too ????

Happy National Donut Day! I won't be sharing because I can't tolerate that much sugar after bariatric surgery, and actually I really don't miss it like I worried that I would! Fruit is about the most I can handle, and sometimes even that can be too much. I wish those of you who are celebrating with a delicious donut the absolute most enjoyment possible, and for those of us who choose to not partake (for whatever reason), we can be positive supporters of our MFP friends and co-journey-ers (I think I just made up a new word!).

I had a few donuts on set last week and I spiked my sugar level so high I thought I was gonna pass out.

I'll stick with a handful of strawberries and pictures of food porn today.

Sugar is evil. You might lose weight, but it plays havoc with your poor body. :-)
But, good for you. Sugar is too addictive for me personally. I lost my weight eating veg, fruit, and meat and drinking water. I know there is no processed food racing round in my body to antagonise it.
Each to their own i guess :ohwell:
Sugar doesn't have morals, so it can't be "evil".

Oh and by the way fruit has "evil" sugar in it too.

    Word.

Same here! Today was supposed to be a rest day for me. However I decided earning extra calories for National Doughnut Day was more important!

I ran 22.6 kilometers this morning just so I could earn some extra doughnut calories!

My totals for the day: 4088 calories with 2210 calories coming from donuts alone.

    Doughnut consumption:

2 Maple Bacon Long John Donuts, 1080 cals
1 Raised Glazed Donut, 1 donut, 400 cals
2 Glazed Ring Donuts, 320 cals
    1 Blueberry Fritter, 410 cals

    Total 2210 from donuts

My daily goal was 3594 calories so I was a little over despite my long run and 1451 calorie burn. Nevertheless I will still hit my weekly macro targets. My weight has been stable (at my ideal weight) for months and I am continuing to get faster and stronger. You can meet your goals while consuming donuts!

National Doughnut Day is supposed to be a celebration. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
