I had a friend like that. Emphasis on the "HAD". We were out shopping and I was so excited that I fit into a smaller pair of jeans and she downplayed it like... oh but you know a lot of sizes just run big.

Thank You everyone for the support. Just to answer a few questions....

The program is thru a medical university here. They have different programs depending on how
much you have to lose. The program I did was a 15 week program, where you meet once a week
with either an exercise physiologist, a nutritionist, or a counselor. I was very sedentary for the past couple
years due to a back and neck fusion, so I had difficulty on my own figuring out how to balance physical limitations
with calories and nutrition. I was confused by the many different fad diets and opinions, that I thought
going to someone medically trained would help. My starting weight was 156, and I am now 138. I am
only five feet tall, so that has been a good loss for me, but I still have 8 - 10 pounds to go. They set my weight loss
at 3/4 of a pound a week given my sedentary lifestyle, which is improving as I lose weight and get stronger.

As far as using the word "hateful", it is really a term used here in the south. Sorry if it came across as strong.
We use words like "darlin", "sweetheart", "fixin to" and "sugar". Guess it would be better described as hurtful, not
    hateful.

She's either a total B or she's socially inept. Congratulations to you--ignore her and keep doing your thing. :drinker:
