All I can tell you is that you didn't gain weight overnight, and you're not going to lose it overnight. If you hit a rough patch, plateau, or just have a case of losing your will, remember that the next day will get better. There are a ton of people on this site who will listen to what you've been doing and will make suggestions on how you can change your diet and/or exercising patterns so you see results. Don't focus on the scale alone... measure yourself and write it down. You may not see changes on the scale, but your measurements will help show if you're making progress, and where. Just keep working at it. You're not going to be perfect every day, but you'll fail if you quit trying.0

Ditto what people have said - read the success stories - weight loss, strength, fitness, health improvement - lots of achievements - it can be done.
Focus on CHANGE not results0 -
Well.. what's the worst that could happen?
Even if you don't lose weight at the rate you expect to, if you eat better and exercise and start taking better care of your body, the worst that can happen is you'll feel better, have more energy, and your mood will improve.
You're not going to have wasted assets or harmed yourself. Exercising and eating right is free and good for you.0
