The Military Diet

Has anyone seen this one? To me it looks like a real restricted caloric intake for three days then a sensible diet the other four days, the go again.

BOGUS. First thing I saw was 10 lbs. in one week; I didn't need to look further. It just seems like an extreme calorie limitation? Maybe you will lose some water weight.

Wow, we don't eat like this. Someone is trying to tac the military name on that as a selling point. Actually most of us burn more calories since our jobs tend to be very rigorous or at least very stressful. This is the reason why one meal ready to eat (MRE) is about 1300 calories.

I did it when I first started MFP. It worked for me to just become more disciplined to start something. Even though I did 3 on and 4 off, I knew I couldn't sustain it so I adopted a healthier overall eating routine. I've some military folks use this diet to make weight as quickly as possible. I didn't like because of the low macros targets daily.
