A Prayer For Today

Options
Father In Heaven ,

Today I choose to release everything that has tried to hold me back.
I release the past, I release the bitterness , I release the insecurities, i release missed opportunities
Instead I embrace your grace and power to boldly move forward into the blessings you have for me

In Jesus name Amen;

    Amen!

Thank you for the lovely prayer.
I pray for all those in need of any kind of healing.
Especially those who don't understand his power and love.
There is never a wrong place or time to mention his name and praise his glory!
No matter what religion we are all brothers and sisters!

The power of prayer is stronger in numbers!!!!

Thank you for the inspiration! I know you might get some criticism over this post, but good for you  God wants us to stand up for Him, and lean on Him for support.

This would be better suited for certain groups on MFP.

If you dont like it dont click on the topic " A prayer for today." What a sad waste of your time.

    AMEN perfect prayer for today.

Jesus did not hide behind a "safe" group and because of that he died on the cross.

He wants us to mention his name to everyone and not be afraid of others' wrath because of it.

Those times were for the dark ages!

The awesome thing is now you have many praying for your understanding.

Anything posted on the main forums is up for debate. Which is why I advised OP to post this in a group where she might find like -minded people.
She was just being polite and probably saving you guys from the grief of being flamed or ridiculed from breaching the MFP guidelines about religious posts, it is allowed in group forums but on the main forum it is not only up for debate it will probably lead to an all out flamewar even if the OP's intentions are obviously innocent.

So all power to you guys but this thread will either be locked or turn into yet another unwanted religious debate.

Edited for: I can see this thread has already moved from a seemingly innocent motivational prayer to religious rhetoric

    Since the soft approach failed:

PLEASE keep your nonsense in a group. I shouldn't have to log on to a fitness forum and see posts like this because of your invisible friend in the sky.

The rules state that religion isn't allowed on the forums. You have to obey the rules. Being a christian/jew/ect doesn't exempt you from forum rules. u_mad_bro was only telling the OP of the rules and that this post would be more appropriate in one of the MANY religious groups.

And fyi, your attitude will not bring people to your religion. More flies with honey than vinegar and all that.....

My post was not an "attitude." It is what our country was founded on. There is also free speech.

I did not say anything about someone having to convert or take on my views.

When you pray for someone it does not mean you are trying to convert them.

There is no anger in my voice.

However, some choose to be offended by others Joy!

Hate will never win. Sorry you have so much of it.
