There's also about to be another fitness dvd, fitness 'movement' and yet another 'new technology' fitness prop that's actually older than the internal combustion engine.

    What's your point?

Is it that the magazines are repeatedly churning out the same stuff as all of the fitness industry is?
Or is it that new people will, over and over again, fall for the same empty promises?

Yep, they ALL re-hash the same stuff. Nothing new, and the reason I don't buy many "Fitness" mags anymore

Nothing new, explains why musclemag went bankrupt in the last week or so.

As a teenager I used to buy a lot of magazines - computers, motorbikes, etc - I slowly worked out that it was just the same stuff rehashed. At least in those two areas there are new products coming out to review and discuss - but with motorbikes certainly, all the other stuff guides, advice etc is just the same-old.

There may be new things under the sun, but the bulk of it has to be what most people will pay for, and the new readers will be looking for the same things two years hence the current crop are now.

Someone pointed out that men's health and fitness magazines do it too:
