Weights at home

Options
Does anyone have any advice for weights I can do at home? Or know of any threads with good tips? It is not possible for me to join a gym at the moment.

I have dumbells and a 5kg kettlebell I am just not sure on how to get best use out of what I have.

Any help would be appreciated

EDIT - and yes, I know your kettlebell is smaller than what they say there. Use it anyway; it will be fine to start with and you can do more reps faster as you progress and then get another bigger one.

Oh my goodness, LOTS of programs you can do at home.

You don't need silly DVD's to get a fabulous body =)

I work out at home, I haven't been to a gym in over 10 years

See the video for each exercise, good form is important.
Add weight when you hit the recommended reps of an exercise.

This is a link to a great 30 day dumb bell challenge.....I got it from a friend on MFP and started it yesterday........I think this is exactly what you are looking for. Hope it helps you. I actually have a gym to go to, but this is regimented and works upper body one day and lower the next. Good luck!

I LOVE Kelly Coffee-Myers DVD's! You use hand weights and I've seen amazing results. And she has so many that I don't get bored! I started with 5lb and 8lb weights, now I use 8lb, 10lb and 12lb weights.... Check the DVD's out on Amazon.com.

Fitnessblender.com has a lot of great workouts for free online. You can also find them all on youtube. On their website you can search all the videos for the type of video you want. Youtube has some great workout videos including jillian michaels, Jackie warner and ellen barrett. Good luck!

Nike Training Club is amazing for cardio, can really get a lot out of it. I find it's not always so good for weights... try stumptuous.com for that perhaps? I love it for practical foolproof guidance on stuff... no trying to hard sell you miracle shakes and it doesn't assume any prior knowledge.
