JUST WANTED TO SHARE CHRIS POWELL'S (trainer on the show Extreme Weight Loss) DESCRIPTION OF A CHEAT DAY:

A Reward Day/Guilt Free Day happens 1x a week on the Classic, Turbo and Fit Carb Cycles. They are designed to keep your body from plateauing and learning the carb cycle pattern you are following.

You can enjoy ANYTHING you'd like but keep in mind your target is to eat about 1,000 calories more than you typically do on the LC/HC days. Its best to try to enjoy these foods away from your house so nothing is left over to tempt you later.

Ironically, many people find that after they've "binged" on their first Reward Day, that they actually get ill from the foods that they used to enjoy so much. Their bodies have started changing and the sugars and carbs make them tired and feel awful.

Its at this point that you can simply eat healthy foods on a guilt free day, just ensure you're getting that extra boost of calories needed to make the day an effective one.

Share one of your Reward Day experiences. What did you enjoy? DId it taste as good as you remember? Did you get sick?

  • i didn't go 1000 over my daily limit, but my daily is set around 2k so I have more to work with than someone doing 1300

if i eat healthily in the morning I can have a slice of pizza or a hamburger and fries and it won't be too bad. gotta watch the sodium though.

tons of regular Jif peanut butter instead of my typical handful of nuts. I actually feel gross and cant believe I ate the 2.5 tbsp. it sounds miniscule, but my body can tell that its SOOOO not the usual clean eating.
