Starving! Need ideas to stay fuller, longer

I am closely watching my calorie intake thinking that I would lose weight if I'm just mindful of my numbers. Everyday I am at my Goal intake or slightly under but I find myself hungry all the time. During the day I eat fruits and vegetables and then a sensible dinner but I am constantly hungry until dinner. Have I mentioned I've only lost 1 pound in the 6 weeks I have been exercising and watching my food?! Can you recommend some filling foods to get me through the day that are low calorie?

I'd suggest to eat more protein rich foods. That's the only way I stay full.

Since your diary is closed, it's hard to really make suggestions without more information.

Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of water. SOmetimes hunger is actually a signal that your body needs more water.

i agree with Dixielawgirl. I'd do a snack of fiber and protein.

You need more than fruits and veg to be healthy...they have a lot of nutrition, but proper nutrition also requires protein and healthy fats. If all you're doing is eating fruit and veg and a sensible dinner I can pretty much guarantee you aren't getting the macro nutrient content necessary for proper nutrition.

Opening your diary might help us give you more specific advice, but I agree that making sure you get plenty of protein, fat, and fiber help your body feel full and satisfied longer.

Water water and lots more water. If you fill hungry drink lots of water. Presuming that is that your eating enough calories to sustain a 24 hour day., and not selling yourself short?
