Need 1,200 cal friends

So this morning I weighed myself and I was heavier than I've ever been before
Last year I lost 6kg with MFP and was happy with my weight, but I slipped back into my old habits! Rejoined MFP but haven't properly used it in ages (been eating lots without logging).
I think it's be a great help ifI was friends with other girls with similar goals to me! Trying to stick to a 1,200 cal diet. Current weight is 68kg (150lbs) Want to lose 8-10kg (17-20lbs) by Christmas 2013.
I'd really like supportive friends and offer my support and encouragement in return!

I started at 1200 and was extremely sick - 1200 is not common, please realize this.
I now eat 1400-1500 and am much better and losing weight again. Some people do stick to it, but the majority on here from what I've read have noticed that the more you eat, the more fuel you have the more you burn.0 -
so for now i'm doing the 1200 calorie thing because i'm not exercising much as i have a bad ankle and can't get it looked at and i'm already having trouble eating that many calories because i'm broke as a joke WOO for having no money ever! i don't see myself staying on that little of calories though because i don't feel like i'm going to keep seeing changes but i'd be there for encouragement, unless i end up running out of food and getting so hungry i eat my computer0

Whats MFP? I am trying to lose 30 pounds by nov 20th. I am on a 1200 cal diet with lots of exercsie when I do it. Could also use a friend with similar goals..0

I'd be more than happy to encourage! I started at 1200 but recently switched to 1450 (and I eat back my calories).
I know the 1200 game though! It was so tough at the beginning.
So I'd love to be friends and that goes for anyone who like to motivate/be motivated.0 -
I do the 1200 calories on days that I just lay in bed from morning till noon...wich never happens.0

I did 1200 Becca and I lost a pretty solid amount of weight, I've now bumped my calories to 1300 and still losing. Planning to bump up again soon...You can do this!!!0 -

I try to stay around 1200 calories. Its been really working for me for about 2 1/2 months now. Sometimes I go up to 1400-1500. I lost 20 lbs for the first 2 months. Now that I'm almost to healthy weight range I'm probably on track for 6-8 lbs this month. Please add me for support.0

Hey, I'm on 1200 cals and have been doing it pretty well for the past month or so. I'm 25, 5'6, SW 147, CW 136, GW 130+toning (might go lower, but I'll reassess when I get there..).
I do eat back most of my exercise cals, just fyi.

not to be rude but get off a public forum then.
if there was some sort of PROOF that 1200 calorie diets were legit, then I'd back off. But there isn't. I'm just trying to help because 1200 is harmful for most people. It would be the same thing if you were a drug addict, I'd do everything in my power to help you.
i'm not saying you can't lose weight on a 1200 calorie diet. You can but for most people, it puts them into starvation mode. Go look up all the side effects of being in starvation mode. I'm just saying, one should find out how many calories the body truly needs. For all I know, 1200 calories is spot on for this person but it might be way off.
I will apologize somewhat as I didn't even catch this was an introduce yourself thread. i just clicked it on the sidebar and it took me straight to it.
My opinion, based on scientific fact, still stands though. there is no damn agenda. You are acting like I get something out of telling people something. We are all on this website together trying to accomplish the same goals here. i'm on here to help. i've helped lots of people that have tried everything in their power to lose weight and fail. losing weight is quite easy but people just don't know how to do it properly and healthily.
with that, i'll just leave this thread alone. You can go ahead and do what you want. Not worth trying to help strangers that are just going to be rude to me.0 -

I'm at 1200 calories. I see people posting that it's not healthy. Well MFP posted me at 1200. I'm short but I exercise 2-3 times a day. I was originally at 1400 when I put in that I wanted to lose .5 lb a week. Well I wasn't seeing any results for months so I recently switched myself to wanting to lose 1 lb a week which is perfectly HEALTHY. I've been at this range for a couple weeks now (still no results - I think part of it is that I have poly cystic ovary syndrome - long story). It's definitely more of a challenge eating only 1200 calories but in a way it helps me because it forces me to get out and exercise more to stay within my limits. Good luck!0
