It is very tough to eat healthy in New York!!!

I can have any of that any day of the week. I can have it in under half an hour. And I LOVE it. And I'm not having it
I often walk past things like that. People who live in places where Dunkin Donuts is their temptation have it so much easier.
And that's just the sweets (because I'm craving them right now).
At 1,500 per day, I can't even try most of the new things that come out. It is not fair I could truly appreciate them.

Amazing food porn there.
The only reason I would survive is because I'm frugal (read: cheap) so I wouldn't be able to buy so many treat because they're expensive. o:
Maybe split it with a friend if you can't resist any longer?0 -
Should be easier there despite the food porn. Lots of indian and other ethnic foods with great flavors that are also healthy.0

I have no problem eating healthy here.0

You forgot Cronuts.0

NYC does have a lot of temptation. one of the few things i dislike about Phoenix is our horrible food choices so after reading your post i guess there is a bright side to that fact.0

Financier? Looks good, but there are so many delicious healthy options here too.0

We have the best pizza on the planet here!!!0

Find out how many calories one of the best of those is.
Find an activity that will burn most of those calories. Spend a free (weekend?) day doing the activity, then go enjoy what you have earned.0 -
I'm a foodie, so I understand. I'm from WI, so everything is dairy-laden and home-style. I'm not sure what all of those gorgeous desserts are, but I'm happy to take the bullet and try them all!0

Bumping so all my New York friends can come in here and laugh.0

I know exactly where you are coming from. Since joining MFP I have had to cancel my monthly NY trips, because there was no way I was prepared to give up such good food. I am due to be there over July 4th weekend, have already planned to use the gym every morning.0 -
*Books plane ticket to New York* LOL Just kidding! I stay away from that kind of food.0

This.
Go get a fattoush salad, or some authentic tacos (cilantro, onion, tortilla) or hit up a fruteria.0 -
Its easy to eat healthy in NYC. Like you, I am craving sweets (particularly carrot cake cheesecake from Juniors). I don't give in to my cravings. just substitue the sweets with something healthy.0

I love living in NYC because I can easily buy any exotic spice/ingredient/whatever to cook whatever cool recipe I find on the interwebs. Love sweets (and Dominique Ansel) but life is too short to spend two hours waiting on line for a cronut.0

If only there was somewhere to buy fruit in NYC! Alas.0

Theres delicious tempting food everywhere, that is not an excuse.0

Last time I was in NYC I lost 8 pounds while I was there (10 days and ate Pizza every single day). But then I walked everywhere and almost always took the stairs at the hotel.
If you really want it, you can make it work.0
