Learn something new about fruit

Today I did a quick green smoothie for lunch ..... 2 cups kale, about a cup frozen fresh pineapple, and about half a banana -- enough water to help mix things along ..... and my carb intake went way up -- but I am assuming those are good carbs from natural sources so not really worrying too much about my carb totals today. I buy all my fruit fresh, and prepare and freeze it for use in smoothies. Just another something that I never knew. I've just returned from the store and got some unsweetened almond milk -- AGAIN -- I'm gonna give it one more try ..... carry on :flowerforyou:

You are correct! Fruits are good carb! I love making fruit and kale smoothies for breakfast! I usually use Unsweetened Flax Milk for the omega 3s! One of my favorite fruit combos is strawberry kiwi banana! I use everything fresh though, no freezing.

There really are no good carbs or bad carbs. They're all carbs.

Not true - bad carbs always stay out past their curfew and never get their dad a card for Fathers DaY:tongue:

I usually catch my fruit on sale so have more than I'll use before they go bad -- therefore that is why I freeze -- plus it eliminates the need for ice in my smoothies as the fruit is frozen :D But it is purchased fresh -- so is fresh frozen lol
