    I think it's been well established that Batman has a Kryptonite ring, for the purpose of being able to defeat any Kryptonian who happens to go rogue or start being controlled by a villain. So Batman would win, as long as he had it with him.

    This! Along with delusions of grandeur. Superman is an alien from another planet with substantive superpowers not reliant on technology and gadgets. Although I wonder about a Batman vs. Captain Marvel/Shazam match up.

    The thing that makes Batman so much cooler then Superman (and I have great love for Superman) is that Batman goes into a fight knowing he can get hurt...and goes anyway. Superman knows he's usually NOT going to get hurt.
