Looking for snack i can throw in my bag/purse

Options
Hello All,

Im finding that i get very hungry throughout the day and im looking for some simple snack ideas. I would prefer something below 200 calories that would be okay in my purse if I forgot about it for a few days (so fruit isnt an option). I have been eating cliff bars, but those take up more than half my sugar for the day so im trying to shy away from those.

Thanks!:glasses:

Have you checked quest bars--a lot have only 170 cals with 1 gram of sugar. Also almonds--lots of flavored kind like cocoa or cinnamon

Popcorn - 3 c. of plain popcorn, sprinkle with 2 tbsp parmesan and 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper (or less), mix well. It's tasty and around 160 calories.

They are a dollar each and oh so yummy! THey are usually under 180 calories and a lot of the bars are vegan friendly.

    I love these. https://solbites.com/solbites-products
The one with honey is my favorite, but it's got 240 cals. The peanut/strawberry jam one is really yummy, too. It's got 210. I haven't actually tried the chocolate/strawberry, but it doesn't appeal to me. That one is 200 cals.

I keep a canister of nuts nearby - I have one in my car, and one in my desk (right now one is raw, unsalted almonds and the other is lightly salted cashews).
I usually end up going over my sugar allowance for the day - so nuts are great because they're pretty much just protein & fat

Small ziplock bags of the above.

I snack on plain fiber one cereal, almonds, crackers. I'll count out the portion and put them in small ziplocks.

I keep baggies of pre-portioned nuts and trail mix in a box beside me keys so that I can grab them on the way out the door. I just find a little time on the weekend to weigh and portion them and write the calorie info on the bag so I don't have to remember it.

Also pre-portioned peanut butter to-go cups are delicious.

I buy the Trader Joe's "Just a Handfull" packs, they cost a little bit more but for me worth it since they are always ready to go and you won't have to worry about anything opening in your purse
