Okay, I'm a big guy, 6'2 and now 407lbs
I carry most of my weight on my stomach and legs.
I lost 37 lbs(17 officially but lost 20 the first two weeks) and yet there is no real change to my waist size.
I exercise 3 times a week (power walk approx 11 kilometers a week)
I have gone down one shirt size, but damn is my waist a ***** to get off!
Any tips?

Have patience. You're shedding weight like mad, and you'll get there.0

I've read that the stomach area is the last place that it comes off. I myself am having that very same issue and I hold my weight in the same two places you mentioned, my stomach and legs. I've been eating healthy and excercising 6 days a week since November of 2012 and have only lost 30lbs. I keep telling myself that slow and steady wins the race, it's a hard pill to swallow though!0

I'm going to give you the advice which always makes me want to cry, or scream. Be patient!
I started at 290 lb and have lost almost 30 pounds, your body will have to shift and adjust to the weight loss before you really start seeing the size difference. I always see a size change when my weight loss stalls and vice versa. I know your a guy, but my trainer recommended a firming lotion, so I bought Aveeno's. I think it actually works, I do see a difference. It's only $9-10.
Great job! Keep it up.0 -
I reached my goal over 3 months ago and even though my waist and stomach have shrunk a considerable amount I am still working on that area. It seems it has been the hardest area to lose on. Just be patient and don't let the lack of inches lost in a specific area detour you. U r doing a great job!0

It really is hard to come off thats for sure!!!0 -
The same thing is happening to me. I'm 5'1 and started at 260 lbs. I have now lost 20 lbs and my waist is not any smaller at all. My pants are a little loose, but not what I expected.0
