Hi I'm Fiona 29 yrs old.
I use my fitness pal last year and lost a stone.
I'm now back its not that I'm unhappy with the weight on the scale nor my size 10 9 stone 8lb.
I'm unhappy with my shape seem quite skinny fat, I'm unhappy with my horrible eating habits and my fitness levels.
Aims to reduce fat, build muscle, fitness and eat well.
Using polar ft4, gym, mfp and google :-).
Doing as much research as I can to a achieve this lots of conflicting information out there so all seems mind boggling at times.
Day one, feeling rubbish, tired, headache, dizzy , I have not reach my carbs amount so I'm guessing a that's why tomorrow I will make sure I do
Hoping to make new friends on the way and learn behond what I know now.

Hi Fiona
Welcome back to MFP.
I hope this time the tool works better for you.
MFP has been very helpful to me. I got rid of 23 pounds over 12 months.
I am on maintenance mode now. I continue logging all my food intake and my calories burned.
what has worked for me
1) Use TDEE formula to find my target daily calorie intake. I lost weight eating at TDEE-20%. Every time I lost one pound I would use the formula again to revise my new (TDEE -20%) daily calorie goal.
2) Measure all food. I bought a kitchen scale, set of measuring cups and set of measuring spoons.
3) I bought a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) to measure calories burned with physical activity.
4) Log everything.
5) I follow Michael Pollan's suggestion: Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
Good luck in your journey0 -
