It's weird...but has anyone experience this? It's like I dream of eating fatty foods and desserts, and wake up feeling full. It takes a while to actually process that it was a dream haha!

I had a dream about eating way too much at our mall's food court last night. I think there was cake. I then have a feeling of "holy crap, I ate too much," and then I wake up. Honestly, I think the dream is more a metaphor for the lack of control I've been feeling (life stuff) rather than problems with food, but food is the subject because I think about it a lot. xD

Yep, definitely occurred to me. I once dreamed that I went to this Sunday event with my teacher randomly and there were all these pastries and cake with tea. At first, I was thinking, "I must not eat anything because I have already gone over calories today. I'll stick with a chai tea." Then I realised it was a dream, and that I had a couple of minutes to stuff my face with cream buns, croissant, chocolate tart and some weird thing that didn't seem like it was "worth the calories" anyway haha. And yes, I woke up feeling strangely full.

The other day I had a fantasy about eating barbecue potato chips LOL Lucky for me my self control won out and I didn't go buy said chips to fulfill that fantasy. Actually, what helps alot is I envision all those fabulous looking people on the "success" thread and someday being able to post my picture there and think... I want that more than I want chips... and it passes. :)

Oh my God I thought it was just me and I was going nuts! Recently I've been eating a lot of dream cake and chocolate. Swear that I can taste it an everything! Only difference is that I wake up starving and craving (you guessed it) cake and chocolate >.<

This hasn't happened to me but when I quit smoking I would dream about smoking cigs. I guess same concept. Silly brain!

I dream about food--but when I wake up I'm starving and nothing doing but to eat the food that I was dreaming about. It's usually pancakes. :(

I moved to another country and I often dream that I'm eating stuff that's not available where I live, mostly stuff I know for sure I'll never eat again. The bad part is that I always wake up when I'm in the middle of my meal, so I wake up really craving what I dreamt I was having. And the dreams are always so vivid and realistic! I can really smell the food, see the food in all of its colorful glory and TASTE it! and then BAM! it disappears.

    It sucks. lol.

I have fallen to sleep on the train, dreamed of eating a donut and caught myself chewing as I wake up. Dream donuts have no carbs!

I masticate frequently as well. Never while sleeping though. Now that's talent.

I once had a dream that I was drowning in a bucket of chicken. I took it as a sign that I should eat KFC for dinner that day.

This happened to me too! I read somewhere that dreams reinforce your conscious actions, so maybe dreaming about eating is just the brain's way of working it out subconsciously.

that's a possibility; it's funny how our dreams comes out like this, and since we have no control over them, it makes us feel the craziest things lol

I do this! I dream I have massive binges on the unhealthiest food ever and wake up feeling sooooo guilty!! Then it takes a while for me to convince myself it wasn't real.

I sometimes think my subconcious hates me, lol.

Yes! Sometimes I remember being so satisfied in my dream after eating all that I pictured. Sometimes I dream of overeating and feel guilty and am so happy when I wake up and its a dream. I have noticed that I only dream of eating when I go to bed too hungry.
  • I dreamed last week that I was in a store eating kit kat bars...mmmm....kit kat...

    Excuse me everyone! *runs off*

YES. this is the exact way my dreams go, and then I get super bloated, and surprisingly full when I wake up lol

I do this occasionally, and I feel so guilty for eating all of these dream sweets. I am so happy I did not actually eat the food when I wake up.
