What exercises have you been doing to aid in the weight loss?
I love doing total body workouts. So I don't limit myself to one thing. I do equal amounts of cardio (running, walking, zumba, kickboxing, ect..) and strength training Squats, lunges, Ab exercises, lifting weights targeting my back, chest, & arms.
The exercising in my opinion is 20% of the weight loss. The rest of the 80% is what and how I ate. I cut out processed foods and began eating clean. I eat lots of veggies, fruits, high clean protein (Salmon, Chicken & Turkey (white meat), Tuna, Lean beef, cheese, yogurt) Lots of whole grains ( whole wheat Pasta, multi-grain bread, organic brown rice) Healthy fats such as Almond butter, Peanut butter, and all kinds of nuts, (stick to the serving amount) and last but not least I drink TONS of water. 8 glasses is the minimum and is great, but push yourself to go past that amount.
Everyone is telling me that I look like I lost more than 20, and I really believe that I lost inches more than anything else with all the strength training I've been doing. So it's great that you're measuring inches, because the scale doesn't always give you the overall progress.0 -
