I would love to have some friends close to my age to support and encourage, I am 50 started mfp in july 2010 and lost 112 lbs0

I was going to ask what age did you consider "middle" haha! I guess per your description I fall into that category; I'll be 44 tomorrow but I don't think of myself as middle aged.
EDIT: I'm on MFP every day0

I'm Jeralyn. 48 turning 49 in October. Because of health issues & meds ( and depression because of the health issues & meds *sigh*) I seriously packed on the pounds. But I've been killing it with a low carb diet & running on my treadmill everyday and I have only .2 pounds to go before hitting 15 pounds lost. And it's only been a little less than 5 weeks. I'm quite proud of myself. So are my neurologist, Occupational Therapist and Physiatrist. They think my exercise & commitment to it have been helping with my condition. All the more reason for me to continue working!
 Nice to meet you all.0

40 isn't middle aged. I'm 64, doing well though slowly on this program, and I feel I'm on the back side of middle age, "Old" is the next generation up. Or so I tell myself.0

I'm almost 38 and I consider that middle aged. My diary is open. I eat like a "normal" person. I succeed and fail on a daily basis. I try to be supportive but sometimes I fail. Add me if you like. 0 0
