*Help* Breakfast Meals with Protein?

Hey Everyone.

I was wondering if anyone had some easy-to-make breakfast ideas that included protein (not in HUGE amounts, but at least a little bit). The catch is....I don't care much for eggs (I know a lot of people are big egg fans for breakfast), I don't care much for nuts, and I'm growing tired of Organic Peanut butter.

Every morning I usually have the same thing: 1/3 cup of Life cereal, a sprinkle of chocolate granola on top with 1/4 vanilla almond milk with Celery, half an apple, and peanut butter on the side. I'm just growing tired of having the same thing everyday and was wondering if anyone out there had some easy suggestions for some other breakfast food that contains protein!

There's not much in the fridge, (I live with my in-laws and they do most of the shopping) but if it's something cheap and easy to get I can make a request for it next shopping day.

Thanks! :]

I make smoothies for breakfast sometimes. (look at my food diary today to give you an idea, you dont have to use everything I did haha).

Also, I make Dutch Babies. It's basically a skillet pancake but omg are they good and very fast and easy with good protein.

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    3 eggs
    1 cup milk

Stick cold skillet (with a pat of butter in it) in oven and then preheat to 425. While oven and skillet are heating, mix ingredients together. After preheat is done, pour batter in hot skillet and put back in the oven. Bake for 12 mins. Serve with maple syrup or honey and a little powdered sugar. Mmmm good and if you have kids they love them, too. :)

ETA: I cut it like a pie into 8ths. Each slice is a little over 100 calories.

I'm probably so horrible! I don't care much for Greek Yogurt, although I do have some regular yogurt (sadly, in dessert flavors like Caramel) because that's all I can stand. I'm also not a big fan of Cheese either. I have a real problem with Dairy products (not lactose intolerant, I just don't really like them which is why I usually use almond milk). Which is why I have to take calcium supplements :[ I also don't like many fruits. I can stand apples, pears, and grapes but anything other than that I can't do. I've tried them all, just the texture gets to me bad. I love, love, love vegetables though. I do like turkey bacon as well. :]

The Dutch Babies sound wonderful, I may try them tomorrow! Do you know of anything you can put inside them to spice them up or are they too thin for that?

I really appreciate all the suggestions, thanks everyone! Keep them coming. :]

One more question about the Dutch Babies. What type of milk does it work with? Will 2% work or do you need whole or skim? Also, if I don't have any wheat flour on hand, can I replace it with regular flour? Thanks! :]

I drink a protein shake then a half hr later have a few ounces of lean roast beef and provolone on sesame flax bread. Some days Canadian bacon instead. I'm not a morning person and it's fast.

will you eat "things that have eggs in them"? e.g., pancakes, french toast, lo-carb breakfast muffins, etc? Also, do a quick search - someone asked the very same question a week or two ago (quick breakfast, no eggs)

Yoghurt is good in things like overnight oats, where you can add nuts and fruits to your own taste. Greek yoghurt has the most protein.

Other similar but often overlooked products are fromage frais and quark - you might find you prefer the taste or texture of these.

Fish - smoked salmon or smoked mackerel are breakfast-y

    Cottage cheese on toast

Peanut butter is good, but there's a variety of nut butters to ring the changes - almond and hazelnut butters are lovely, and I'm very partial to pumpkin seed butter.

As previously mentioned-Greek Yogurt. Sometimes I mix protein powder with almond milk (you can use any milk) and pour over my cereal.

Im pretty sure you could use any kind of milk... I just use whole milk because that's all I drink or use for anything, haha. And yes it will work with regular flour!

And to spice it up, you could put fruit in it, like blueberries, strawberries, etc. But I find just the little bit of butter in the pan (I use a tbsp) with the maple syrup and powdered sugar gives it lots of flavor!
