Kinda bummed

I have only been doing this well not even a week yet but I weighted in the other day and I'd already lost 2 lbs!!! So far I've been at or under my calorie goal every day! Now this morning I weighed and was up the 2lbs. I haven't been tracking anything else just calories and I know I ate a suuuuper duuuuper salty lunch yesterday so I imagine I didn't do myself any favors but it just is a bummer I thought for sure I'd loose quicker! I'm just being Whitney lol but I'm gonna keep going I'm proud of myself regardless.

    yeah, those first 2-3 pounds (sometimes more) kind of bounce up and down. Don't let that discourage you - you JUST started your journey!

    and don't forget - super duper salty lunch could be water retention.

    You rock! and be proud that you started!

    Hi There: Congratulations on starting mfp.
    I've been on since April and I've now lost 11lbs.
    Those 2lbs./ week start to add up if you just continue on your journey.
    It's all a learning thing.

    Salt causes water retention, so don't be to bummed. Look what happens in the next few days, when your salt intake is more normal.

    Take measurements every couple of weeks too. The often change more drastically than the scale seems to think.

    Your weight will fluctuate, a lot of the time it's not to do with your diet, just your body
