To win a huge jackpot in the lottery and then become a greeter at Walmart. "Hi, thanks for coming. Have a great day".

out of curiosity why would you want to work as a greeter if you were set for life? i would think that would be a horribly boring job. furthermore you are taking a job from someone who could use the money. why not volunteer at a charity? you could be a greeter at the Salvation Army. :)

I think either would be awesome if I were set for life like that. Lately, I've been asking myself this same question. I work as a nurse's aide in a nursing home now but am thinking it's about time for a change.

i used to dream about becoming a published author. alas, that did not come to fruition.

i don't know that i have a dream job now. I like the one i currently have. it pays decent; my bosses are nice, logical, and strive to take care of us; my co-workers are cool too. the actual work that i do is slightly tedious, but i don't mind as the environment is healthy and provides me the time and financial ability to frequent local yoga studios, continue to work out as crazily as i do, and still leave me with time for fun frolic-y adventures should i choose to partake.

i have small ambitions, and just want to live a happy little existence :flowerforyou:

Awesome! I'm an RN with ED background. I'm currently working in a medical flight office arranging the helicopter transports for highly acute pts. We're allowed to fly with the crew whenever we want. It's pretty cool!

Aviator i was going to join the academy but alot of problems happen'd and it didn't work out so.. i'm stuck in the advertising , art direction etc career

Even if you don't get a career in aviation, I'd encourage you to at least get your private pilot's license. I got mine two years ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made

I'd go be a pilot. Oh wait. I am.

To the guy who wanted to be a pilot: Expensive addiction, but it's worth it.

to be in the SAS, went through a stage in my life when i was nigh on obsessed with them,
not a fan of war or anything like that, but just the abilities and dedication of those guys is something i will never possess but want too,

other than that, any job that would give me the power to change people's lives,
where i am from a lot of people don't do great at school (myself included) and never recover from that, but give them the opportunity and confidence and they can astound you,
so put me in charge of a company where i can dictate who i employ and i would strive to give careers to those young men and women who would not normally get the chance (basically happens where i work but not my doing)

I'm already partially doing it....I'm a volunteer First Responder for my county ambulance. In 2015 I'll be applying to the fire station to become a paid employee as a Firefighter/Paramedic.....I love EMS. I don't want to do anything else.

Like others here, I am already working at my "dream job". I work in music and get to travel the world on someone else's dime. For me, this satisfies my desire and NEED to always be on the move,...and get paid while doing so.

Having said that,...if I could figure out a way to split my time, and balance out two very different lives,...I would love to work for, or volunteer for the National Park Service. It would be heaven to live in a trailer and wake up in a beautiful park every morning,...whether it be The Painted Desert, Crater Lake NP, Denali NP, Joshua Tree NP,...or one of so many others. Meet new people each day, lead hikes, teach kids about nature and history, etc, etc. Sigh. Yes, need to find that balance and start doing this soon.

A dream job for me would be writing books....LOL...but unfortunately I have no talent in that area.

Love my job as a legal assistant in a law firm and guess this will be my last job since I am close to retirement.

My dream LIFE (y'know, when you're daydreaming...) is that I'd be a millionaire, own my own decent sized house with some grounds and take in rescue dogs. I'd love to eventually have enough land to have my own mini dog rescue centre. Instead of in kennels, they can sleep in my house

I did study animal welfare at college, but I'm too squeamish and emotional towards animals.

I currently work full-time in an emergency centre for a large company. Basically, someone calls in with an emergency, I decide whether to send out an engineer etc. I'd rather live away from people in the countryside or in a village.

Or I'd like to be a performer as a singer or actress. I did that in college, too. Then when I retire, I'd have the dog centre still.
