Eat clean spinach smoothies!! :D

Sooooo, I bought a huge bag of baby spinach leaves today with the intention to make a yummy and extremely healthy smoothie/juice that I would like to try eating/drinking in place of lunch when I am at work....

I am wondering how much smoothie should be classed as 'meal replacement' and if any of you have any tips/recipes??

I would love to hear some feedback :) xxxx

Smoothies are great meal replacements IMO. I like spinach in smoothies because it barely has any taste so I can put whatever else I want in there. My favorite smoothie

large handful of Spinach or three leaves of Rainbow Chard
    Water
LIQUIFY in blender and THEN add
    Frozen mango
    Frozen Pineapple
    one banana
    Blend again until liquefied

Best brekkie ever. Of course lacking in protein, but that is easily fixed if that's what you need.

Cacao powder, peanut butter and any other veg/fruit you can cram into the blender.

    That is all.

    Green Monster Smoothie:
    1 frozen banana
    1 tb peanut butter
    1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    4 cups baby spinach

I also add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to mine, and I like mine really icy so I throw in a few ice cubes.

Add Frozen berries to turn the end product from Nasty Moster green to a Nice Purple. ;)

    my favorite green smoothie breakfast:

    1 cup spinach
    2 pieces romaine lettuce
    1 bunch of kale
    1 celery stalk
    1/4 of a long cucumber
    1/4 piece of ginger
    1 apple
1/4 cup fresh or frozen berries
    squeeze of lemon
    dash of cinnamon
    1/3 cup water

TONS of nutrients and antioxidants, and the water content and fiber helps keep me full for the whole morning. Its great for energy and really helped to clear up my skin :)

This is one of my favorite, filling, breakfast smoothies:

    1 1/2 c. Unsweetened Almond Milk
    1/2 c. water
3/4 scoop Thorne Vega-Lite Chocolate Pea/Rice protein powder
    2 scoops Thorne Fibermend
    1 T raw almond butter
1/2 c. frozen fruit (using persimmons right now)
    3 large Dino Kale leaves
    2 tsp. unsweetened shredded coconut
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    ice

I've been having this lunch smoothie lately too:

    1 1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. Goat Milk Kefir
    3 large Dino Kale leaves
    3 large Romaine leaves
    6 baby carrots
    8 cherry tomatoes
    1/2 large cucumber
    1/2 Granny Smith apple
    1/4 lemon
    1/4 tsp Powdered Wheatgrass
    ice

This isn't quit enough for lunch though, I also eat a big handful of walnuts, a rice cake, and more raw vegies - all things I can crunch on.

Smoothies are the best! I also use hemp seeds, chia seeds, goji berries, flax seed oil, etc. It really helps to add nut butters or seeds to make them more filling. You could also add oatmeal - I can't have that many carbs, but it tastes really good, and makes it more filling. Enjoy!
