Was there any doubt they would be coming back?
The company went bankrupt.
The assets went on the auction block
Someone would buy them, and start over
without the pricey union contracts.
It's obvious when you look at history of business.0 -
No twinkies in our house in the middle of the street. None of these either...can't say no. Hilarious post and thanks
BTW....why even be serious about any of this??? Have a little fun everyday. :drinker:0 -
No one has mentioned Zingers? They put twinkies to shame.0

Agreed. See above.0 -
Little Debbie has Cloud Cakes which is the same as Twinkies but better.
Little Debbie "lives" 20 minutes from our house in the middle of the street. They have a retail store with fresh product. We never go in there ever. Never. Not gonna happen. Wouldn't be prudent. We'd rather burn a ton of calories not for any Twinkies, Zingers, or Little Deb...but, hmmmmmm....a bit of The Balvenie neat???
Heh...what a great post and if you are taking this cereal....go sow some oats. :glasses:0 -
no thanks...................... im on MFP trying ot lose weight
Hate to bust your bubble- but you can lose weight and still eat a Twinkie (or Swiss Roll).

I believe that I've eaten exactly 2 Twinkies in my life sometime around the age of 10. I do not need more, but I'm happy to see that they're coming back for my friends that like them.0

Twinkies are wasted calories. Pop Tarts and ice cream on the other hand are calories very well spent!0 -
I saw this on the news yesterday. I went and told my mom and she was so happy she looked like she was going to cry  To be fair, the reason she really wanted hostess to come back is because she loves home pride bread (I think that's what it's called) and it's a hostess subsidiary. When hostess went, home pride went. Although, she does love those devil dog things also.0

Forget about Twinkies. The HO HO is so where it's at.0

Never liked twinkies.. probably because it is yellow sponge cake and therefore not attractive to me.
but i could chow down the little 6-pack of cinammon & nut mini muffins that you can buy for $1.39 a package, those were tempting.0 -

For real.
Ho Ho's >>>> everything else0 -
I was just thinking this morning that someone would probably have to pay me at least 20 bucks to eat one twinkie. lol. I just see them as anti-health sponges.0
