I need to lift weights so bad. I know this. But I'm a scale junkie and I'm afraid of gaining weight from lifting. Is my own personal fear please don't judge me. What do i do? do i get rid of the scale? I do weigh everyday i have from day one.

I weigh myself daily but I am not obsessed with it. I basically go by inches and how my clothes fit. I am doing Asylum 2. I love it. What kind of workouts do you like to do? Are you doing Cardio and weights?

as a woman you have the testosterone level of a 10 year old boy, no joke. youre not gonna gain a crazy amount of weight (muscle mass) by lifting (naturally), however youll look better.

^This. You will not see crazy weight gain due to weight lifting. I would weigh myself every 3 days or so, in order to prevent uncertainty from daily fluctuations. In addition, track your waist measurements, because often times when you lift weights, the scale weight will not change much, but your measurements will. Good luck, lift weights, you'll thank yourself later

I wish I had known sooner in life just how awesome weight lifting is. Your reflection will make you smile even if the scale makes you frown.

I've been working with weights for almost 3 years now. Along with dieting, in that time, I've lost 50 lbs. I recently joined a bootcamp and went from participating once a week to participating 4x per week. We work our tails off, but I love it. The added cardio has helped me slim down considerably, although my weight hasn't really changed in the last few months - I'm just getting more trim. More weight with fewer repetitions will build muscle, but more repetitions with less weight will give you lean muscle (which looks wonderful on a woman!) Weight training will also help strengthen your bones, which is a serious consideration as we get older. Don't be afraid to do weight training, just do it carefully.
