    I have one:
tomatoes, green peppers, onions (for salsa)
    lettuce
    zucchini
    green beens
    cukes
    kohlrabi

Elsewhere in the yard: mulberry trees, cherry tree, raspberry bushes, blueberry bushes, strawberry plants, asparagus. Don't love the mulberry tree but planted everything else ourselves!

    I have a BIG yard!

I've got tomatoes (four varieties), red/green/yellow bell peppers, jalapenos, snap peas, green beans, eggplant (not for me, I think they're disgusting), crookneck squash, zucchini, watermelon, cucumbers, lettuce and spinach. All in containers. Then there are potatoes in the ground.

ETA: I have a raspberry patch, an apple tree, sage, thyme, cilantro, parsley, basil and lavender as well.

Be sure to pay attention to the area some of those plants need for space - zucchini and squash plants spread out a bunch and tomatoes and peppers aren't small either.

I have two gardens. One is large (24' x 12') and the other is smaller (8' x 12'). I plant a lot of tomatoes as I make my own salsa and spaghetti sauce. I plant lots of cucumbers and can pickles. I plant regular carrots and purple carrots. Green beans and purple beans, snap peas, radishes, turnips, onion (red and yellow), spinach, lettuce, okra, dill, cilantro, pumpkins, rhubarb, and broccoli. It wasn't too much work to get it set up (but that was 10 years ago). Maintenance isn't bad either unless you let the weeds get out of control. LOVE MY FRESH VEGGIES. :)

ETA - I will be planting garlic in the fall.
