A few months ago I posted the recipe for my Strawberry Oat Bars and people have been going nuts over them. And, since posting them I have been making them every week and have finally found the PERFECT measurements of the ingredients.

So, here is the final, edited, version of my delicious Strawberry Oat Bars. Feel free to message me, or comment, if you have any comments.

Enjoy!

**Strawberry Oat Bars**

-Ingredients-
1 cup (250 mL) all-purpose flour
3/4 cup (175 mL) quick-cooking rolled oats
3/4 cup (175 mL) packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon
1/4 tsp (1 mL) baking soda
1/3 cup (75 mL) apple juice
1/8 cup (60 mL) vegetable oil
3/4 cup (175 mL) Smucker's Double Fruit strawberry jam

-Preparation-
1) In bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and soda. Drizzle with apple juice and oil; stir until crumbly.

2) Remove 1 cup (250 mL) of mixture; set aside.

3) Press remaining mixture into greased, foil-lined 9-inch (2.5 L) square cake pan. Spread with jam; sprinkle with (1 cup) reserved oat mixture.

4) Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 55-60 minutes or until golden and jam bubbles at edges. Let cool on rack.

5) Using foil, remove from pan; peel foil from sides and cut into bars. (Bars can be wrapped well and frozen for up to 2 weeks.)

-Serving-
Full recipe to be cut into 12 bars.

thanks for the recipe, quick question, can I use a no sugar strawberry/raspberry/blackberry jam (E.D. Smith No Added Sugar Jam) instead of Smuckers? and can I use dark brown sugar (I like the taste better). and is it for real? the 1/2 pan = 140 cal? They sound absolutely yummy!

Sounds very yummy! And that is 1/12 (one twelfth) of the pan, or one of 12 bars, not half the pan! Although I almost read it that way as well - had to look twice.

    Thanks for this wonderful recipe!
One question: do the ingredients in a bar stay together or fall apart?
I tried many cereal bars recipes and i didn't be able to make a crunchy but 'solid' bar :frown:
